Courchevel is a world-class ski resort and part of the famous Trois Vallées ski area, one of the largest in the world with access to 600km of marked runs. It's a place where luxury really means luxury. Everything about Courchevel is upmarket, from the perfectly groomed slopes and state-of-the-art lifts to the Michelin-starred restaurants, exclusive upmarket hotels and chalets, glamorous nightlife and stylish designer boutiques.

Courchevel was a collection of small hamlets and sheep farms until 1942, when the French Tourism Commission expressed an interest in creating a ‘super ski resort’. Courchevel became popular with the Parisian set, leading to the addition of more luxury hotels and chalets which, in turn, attracted a new wave of the rich and famous.

The ski area offers wonderfully wide, gentle and perfectly groomed runs, many of which pass through pretty forests. Its northerly aspect ensures excellent snow quality. The resort is spread over six villages, each with very different personalities. You can choose between the glamour of Courchevel 1850, the rustic charm of Le Praz, the lively nightlife of Courchevel Moriond, the economical Courchevel Village, the tranquillity of Saint Bon or the family favourite La Tania.
